DURANT, OK -- The Bryan County Sheriff's office now says they'll have to cut five officer positions at the new jail.

That's in response to a funding cut voted by county commissioners on Monday.

Sheriff Ken Golden says they'll change the shift schedule to 12-hour shifts.

He says he plans to put 5 to 6 officers on a shift at a time.

Before the cut he had at least 7 on staff at a time.

The cuts take effect at the end of the month.
