SHERMAN, TX -- Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages enjoyed the circus in Sherman Tuesday night.
Hundreds of people turned out for the Carson and Barns Circus. Circus Co-owner Barbara Byrd says her grandfather started the circus in 1937 making this their 76th season. She says they have owned a circus longer than any family in U.S. history making it the "World's Biggest Big-Top Show".
"We pride ourselves in entertaining children from 102 to 2. Everybody's a child on circus day, and you're going to see acrobats and beautiful girls and funny clowns and big elephants and cute little prancing dogs and ponies," Byrd said.
If you missed Tuesday night's performance there will be shows Wednesday at 4:30 and 7 p.m. in Van Alstyne at Panther Stadium.
