ARDMORE, OK - High fire danger across the state of Oklahoma has another Texoma county considering enacting a burn ban.
Carter County Emergency Manager Paul Tucker said currently two of the four requirements for a burn ban are met.
With no rain in the immediate forecast, Tucker said he expects Carter County to fall under a severe drought condition by Thursday.
He said the decision on whether or not Carter County will enstate a 30-day burn ban will be decided at Monday's Carter County Commissioner's meeting.
Forty-seven of the seventy-seven Oklahoma counties are currently under a burn ban, including Stephens and Garvin counties.
