ARDMORE, OK -- Charges have been reduced against the Ohio parents who were arrested in August after their one-month-old girl died in Ardmore.
Christopher and Angela Randolph were originally charged with second degree murder but District Attorney Craig Ladd says after the autopsy report was released the charges were amended to neglect of a child.
Ladd says the couple still faces up to life in prison.
Investigators believe excessive heat was a factor in their newborn's death.
Ardmore Police say the couple drove from Ohio to Carter County in a vehicle with no air conditioning.
