ARDMORE, OK -- If you are looking to make a little extra room in your closet and get rid of some old coats and scarfs you can donate your winter wear.
Victory Home Health and Hospice of Ardmore is hosting their first annual Coat and Winter Wear Drive November 19th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their office.
Right now they are asking for people to donate anything warm they have from infant to adult size. Victory's Marketer Maggie Southerland says their mission is to help restore some financial relief around the holiday season. Southerland says even though the event is not until Saturday people have already stopped by. She says this event fills a need in the community, especially in a down economy.
"The guy earlier today really made me think today about being grateful for what I have. Even though I only work part-time it's still a job. It's still some type of employment. It's still some type of income, and it really makes you grateful for what you have," Southerland said.
If you want to drop of your winter wear, or want to pick up some warm clothing a little early you can stop by during business hours.
