GRAYSON COUNTY, TX-- A high speed chase through Grayson County ended with the suspect in the hospital around 2 AM.
Chief of Police, Randy Roach, said it began in Collinsville around 11:30 last night. A patrol officer tried to pull over a pick-up driver for speeding, but the driver took off at speeds over 95 miles per hour.
Shortly after driving through Whitesboro the truck driver hit a guard rail and crashed into a creek. He was taken by medical helicopter to Parkland Hospital.
"It's real sad that the gentleman wrecked out, but it appears that he veered off on his own and it wasn't anything mechanical that happened at that time," Roach said.
Police believe the driver had a suspended license and a DWI charge. The man is still in critical condition. His name isn't being released at this time.
