LAMAR CO., TX-- Pavement milling started today for the resurfacing on South East Loop 286 and US 271.
The work on the Loop and US 271 will take about three weeks to complete, and consists of removing the old pavement, making joint repairs, placing new pavement and striping, as well as reflectors.
TXDot Public Information Officer, Trey Turner, says drivers can expect to be on a milled surface for about two weeks before the resurfacing begins.
The roads will stay open during the work, but two ramps at the interchange will close temporarily.
Each closure will have a clearly signed detour.
