DURANT, OK -- Construction on the new US 70 bypass will begin in Durant, Monday.

Traffic on US 69-B will be down to one lane for the project. It's expected to take 4 weeks to complete.

When the project is finished, South 9th Street, will go from 2 lanes to 3.

Bryan County Emergency Management asks for you to drive cautiously and watch for construction workers.

Reduced speed limits will be posted, and enforced.
