DENISON, TX - This summer's record drought caused a lot of economic and environmental damage, but it didn't stop the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from accomplishing some positive things at Lake Texoma.

The Corps took advantage of low water levels to perform routine maintenance on facilities that are usually underwater and make discoveries like this bison skull found a quarter mile below the Denison Dam that is believed to be about a hundred years old.

The Corps says they were also able to do clean up and do erosion control on public areas and work on courtesy docks in the water.
