ADA, OK -- A month long narcotics investigation in Pontotoc County has come to end with a husband and wife behind bars.

Christopher and Jennifer Baxter were charged with trafficking a controlled dangerous substance after $40,000 of meth was recovered from their home off County Road 3 Drive in Stonewall.

Pontotoc County Sheriff, John Christian, says they also found loaded guns and over $2,000 in cash.

He shared a tip on how to tell if suspicious activity is going on in your area.

"One of the main things that people can watch for is traffic that comes into a residence, stays only a short period of time, and just frequent in and out traffic," Christian said.

Christian says his department, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, OSBI, Ada PD, OHP, and Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse PD all worked this case.
