Crews battle large grass fire in Marshall Co.

MARSHALL COUNTY, OK - Black smoke from a large grass fire out in Marshall County could be seen from more than 30 miles away.

Marshall County Emergency Management Services says they received a call around 2:15 this afternoon, and fire departments from Marshall, Carter, and Johnston counties are all working to contain the blaze off of Biles Road in Madill.

Officials say the fire is about 3 to 4 square miles, and at least 2 surrounding homes are in danger.

So far though, no reports of any injuries.
