DENISON, TX-- 5 people were forced out of their home, after an attic fire in their apartment complex.

Denison Fire Department was called at 9 AM, to an apartment complex on the corner of Armstrong and Texas.

Assistant Fire Chief Bill Ray said they found smoke coming from the attic.

Two apartments had smoke and water damage, Red Cross was there to help the displaced residents.

The road was shut down for about an hour.
