DENISON, TX -- Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened overnight at a home on Morton Street.

"Last night as I was walking out to my car to lock it and stuff I got up to the front porch and heard seven shots go off," said neighbor Joshua Baker.

Lt. Fred Tillman said it happened around 10 p.m. at 623 E. Morton St. They're still investigating how many shots were fired.

"Still checking other possible locations for possible further strikes," he said.

No one was injured in the attack, he said.

"Witnesses at the scene observed a black-in-color SUV leaving, leaving the area after the incident," Tillman said.

Police are still investigating a motive for the attack and whether the attacker knew the residents. News 12 reached out to the residents but they declined to comment.

Shannon White and her kids live a block away from the shooting.

"Not even 100 yards away. It could have been our house easily, or they could have been shooting at the wrong house, easily. So it's scary," she said.

She's shocked this would happen in her neighborhood.

"For the most part it's pretty quiet. We have a lot of kids in this area," she said.

Police say they're looking for the person they believe is the suspect.

"It's a white male, described as wearing a black-in-color T-shirt, black-in-color shorts and thinning hair."

Tillman asks anyone with information on the incident or the suspect to contact Denison Police.
