DENISON, TX -- During the month of February, the Denison Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 100th birthday, and Friday the celebration continued.
On a 2,000 acre development right outside of Denison, Chamber Members got to have a little fun while raising money for education. With their camo and guns, friends got together to enjoy the annual shootout.
It was all for the 4th Annual Denison Chamber of Commerce Clay Shoot. Over 20 teams gathered to pull the trigger for Denison's education and youth programs. The money raised goes to programs like Texas Scholars programs.
Local businesses teamed up with Dallas visitors for the friendly competition.
"This year it looks like we're going to raise around $40,000 from this event, thanks to the Smith foundation and all of these generous sponsors," said Anna McKinney, Denison Chamber of Commerce President.
Over 100 people came to enjoy the Chamber's 100th birthday.
