DENISON, TX -- The demand for fresh produce in Texoma is growing, and now, you don't have to go far to get it.
The Downtown Denison Farmer's Market reopens Saturday morning. The non-profit market mainly features organically grown fruits and vegetables from local growers.
"It's a local farmer's market, so its southern Oklahoma and north Texas.. And we go out and personally do farm checks to make sure that everything that's sold here is actually grown here," said Cat Adair, the Farmer's Market organizer.
The market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays through October. The April 27 market will be open from 9 A.M. - 12 P.M. at 400 West Chestnut.
