DENISON, TX - Denison Police are asking for your help in solving a bizarre kidnapping last night.

Lieutenant Mike Eppler says they got a call around midnight from a girl who said she was kidnapped, assaulted, put in the trunk of a car, and driven to Plano before she was released in Denison.

The girl says she was in Paris and called some friends to come pick her up, but the group of three men and one woman took her to Denison, dragged her out of the car, beat and duct taped her, put her in the trunk, and drove away.

She said she was able to escape from the trunk and run away in Sherman, but one of the men tackled her and put her back in the car.

They took her to Plano before they headed north. She asked to be dropped off at a friend's house in Denison, and they complied. The girl's friend wasn't home so she knocked on a neighbor's door, who called 911 around midnight. She was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Eppler said it's possible one of the men may have had a handgun, but they are still investigating.

Denison Police do have leads, but they are asking anyone with information on this crime to contact them at 903-465-2422.
