SHERMAN, TX -- One Sherman gas station celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Earth Day Sunday, by temporarily dropping gas prices.

You might have noticed long lines at the pumps of the Exxon gas station on the corner of 75 and 82 Sunday afternoon.

From 1 to 2pm customers with Flex Fuel vehicles could fill up with E-85 fuel for only $1.42 per gallon.

Douglas Distributing says they chose to lower the price in observance of Earth Day.

"E-85 would be better for the environment, a lot of manufacturers are making the flex fuel vehicles now that can take the E-85," said Beth Kratochvil, the project manager for Douglass Distributing.
