DURANT, OK-Hundreds of people braved freezing temperatures to spread some Christmas cheer in Durant Tuesday night.
The Durant High School Marching Band kicked off the Durant Christmas parade, sponsored by the chamber of commerce. This year's theme is "Flying into the Future."
More than one hundred floats rolled down Main Street, from living nativity scenes to performance groups. Santa and Snoopy made an appearance! First News AM's Tom Miller and Abby Powell were on hand, along with Fox Texoma's Tom Hale.
The entry fee for the parade were non-perishable food items or money donations, which will all benefit the Durant Food Basket.
