GRAYSON COUNTY, TX - Early voting for runoff elections in Texas take place July 23rd through 27th.
Members of the Grayson County Commissioners Court decided on where and when to hold their polling sites Tuesday morning.
The court agreed on five locations presented by elections court members but chose to extend the times to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Judge Drue Bynum says voter work schedules and an expected low voter turnout are reasons for the time change.
"We just don't want to disenfranchise any voter. We try to balance that with the number of people that actually will come out and vote. We know historically in the past we don't get a good voter turnout during runoff elections," Bynum said.
