Fannin County escapee sentenced to 25 years in prison

FANNIN COUNTY, TX-- The man who stole a county employee's vehicle and fled from a Fannin County barn, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Jimmy Lee Brock was arrested in Bonham on February 25th after fleeing from the Fannin County Jail's, Trustee Worker Program earlier that week.

In a release from the Fannin County District Attorney's Office, District Attorney Richard Glaser explains, back in November, Brock broke the neck of his girlfriends cat.

He was arrested and placed in the Fannin County Jail.

Glaser says, while working at the county barn, Brock drove off in a county employees vehicle on February 21st and was on the run until his arrest at a Bonham nursing home on the 25th.

Brock pled guilty, Thursday, to charges including: evading arrest, burglary of a building and cruelty to a non-livestock animal.
