GAINESVILLE, TX -- The FAA says a Texoma company's seats are to blame for seat malfunctions on recent American Airlines flights.
They are recommending airlines inspect 11 types of seats, all made by Weber Aircraft LLC, a company out of Gainesville, Texas.
The FAA says that when the seats are installed or worked on, a part called the shear plunger might not fully engage with the floor tracks.
The seats came loose during American flights in September and October, causing dozens of flight cancellations.
