SHERWOOD SHORES, TX-Residents in one Sherwood Shores neighborhood live in fear after another suspicious fire broke out just yards away from their homes.

It was the 8th fire ruled suspicious by fire officials in Sherwood Shores. It also happened to be the second fire on the same property along Robin Hood Road in the past eight months. According to the Grayson County Fire Marshal, the fire may be connected to a string of arsons from a few months ago.

Sherwood Shores Fire Capt. Joe Winner said firefighters rushed to a fire on Hillcrest and Robin Hood Road around 2:30 Saturday morning and found the mobile home engulfed in flames. Gordonville Fire helped extinguish the blaze, but the home was a total loss.

Winner said the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The Grayson County Fire Marshal ruled the fire suspicious.

We spoke with residents living near the burnt home. They won't speak to us on camera because they are scared their homes might be targeted.

"I understand they're a little scared because of what's going on in the past and a lot of people are still keeping an eye out and neighbors are watching out for neighbors. A lot of security lights have been installed in the last year," said Winner.

The fire marshal said they have a person of interest, but no names have been released and no arrests have been made.

If you have any information about this fire, you are urged to contact the Grayson County Sheriff's Office (903) 813-4200.
