GRAYSON CO., TX -- Thousands of dollars in property went up in smoke last night after two oil tanks caught fire in Grayson County.
Officials say the giant flames that sent dark black smoke billowing into the air left behind $40,000 dollars in product and equipment damages.
Investigators say lightning hit one of the tanks starting the fire. The tanks are just off Highways 289 and 82.
Several crews helped control the blaze. They managed to turn off the pumps and gas, and eventually got the fire out with the help of Whitesboro, Southmayd and Grayson County Airport fire crews.
