Former East Texas coach killed in an accident in Hunt County

HUNT COUNTY, TX-- A former East Texas teacher and coach was killed Sunday night in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Hunt County.

Hunt County officials say the accident happened just after 9 P.M. North of Lone Oak on HWY 69.

According to DPS, 51 year old Robert Dudley of Mineola, was traveling South on 69 when he veered off the roadway and struck a culvert, ejecting him from the vehicle.

Dudley was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dudley had taught and coached at Mineola High School and Alba-Golden High School.
