RATTAN, OK -- In June, the Rattan Rams won the Oklahoma Class A state baseball tournament without their starting senior, Brandon Jones

Because of the tournament's postponement due to the Wright City baseball team's OSSAA appeal, Jones had to leave for Army basic training.

His parents are now visiting him in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and presented him with his gold medal.

His teammates say they played in honor of Jones and got the win for him.

Jones graduates from basic training Thursday, and then reports to Fort Lee in Virginia.
