BONHAM, TX - A grand jury in Fannin County has indicted a former Honey Grove teacher accused of having sex with a student.

27-year-old Jordan Rose Lane was arrested last month for having an improper relationship with a student. This week she was indicted on two counts of child sexual assault, a second degree felony.

After receiving tips from other local students, Honey Grove Police and other law enforcement conducted a forensic interview at the young man's home. The investigation led to Lane's arrest. Honey Grove Superintendent Jeff Clark says according to police the alleged conduct did not occur at the school or during school hours.

If Lane is convicted, she could spend up to 20 years in jail.
