Former Okla. police chief arrested for child porn distribution

KONAWA, OK - A former Oklahoma police chief has been arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says with the help of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's Tactical Team their agents executed a search warrant this morning at the home of 47-year-old Bradley Morgan at his home in Konawa, where he resigned as the town's police chief last year.

Last month, the Missouri Highway Patrol contacted the OSBIs Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force after Morgan shared child pornography with one of their investigators during an investigation. An OSBI agent then conducted his own investigation on Morgan, who, again, shared child pornography.

Since Morgan was a former police chief and remains in law enforcement, the OSBI requested OHP's tact team make initial entry and make the residence safe for investigators. Morgan resigned from his position as Konawa's police chief in June 2010.

Agents seized several pieces of computer equipment at his home, which they will examine the equipment for more illegal images.

Morgan was booked in to the Seminole County Jail for possession and distribution of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma computer crimes act.
