GAINESVILLE, TX-Gainesville residents donned their red, white and blue Monday night to prove their city is the "Most Patriotic" in the U.S.
Gainesville kicked off the 4th of July week with "Pedal for the Medal," as more than 200 kids rode their bicycles and wagons decked out with American flags. Some even dressed up as Uncle Sam and George Washington.
Rand McNally's "Best of Road" team, Sandi McKenna and Rick Griffin watched the parade as they toured Gainesville in their journey to determine which of the six finalists is the most patriotic city in the U.S.

"Oh my gosh! How adorable! This was one of the best parades ever. These kids are so enthusiastic and so patriotic, I couldn't thought of a better place to spend a Monday afternoon, it's like a Saturday night!" She said.

The "Best of Road" winner will be announced July 16th.
