GRAHAM, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a third person has died after a head-on collision this week in Carter County.

The crash happened Monday on Oklahoma Highway 53 in Graham. Authorities say the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder drove into oncoming traffic, striking a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 72-year-old Beverly Roper.

Roper was pronounced dead at the scene, as was passenger 51-year-old Rhonda G. Russell.

The highway patrol says a third passenger, 12-year-old Mary Rose Verholtz, died at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center.
