WASHINGTON -- The government has shut down a multi-million dollar scam targeting the elderly.

Operating under more than a dozen corporate names, the business robocalled seniors, then duped them into turning over their credit card information in exchange for the promise of a free medical-alert device.

The feds say they received more than 66,000 complaints.

There's no word on how much money seniors lost in the scam.
