Grayson County OEM collecting weather radios

SHERMAN, TX--In preparation for severe weather awareness week, the Grayson County Office of Emergency Management is trying to get up to the minute information into the hands of area seniors.

They're kicking off a campaign with area Meals on Wheels programs to deliver severe weather radios to all meal recipients.

Across Grayson, Cooke and Fannin Counties, they're hoping to deliver a radio to all 1,600 homes.

Weather radios and cash donations can be made, Friday, February 17th at the DOC FM studios in Sherman, at 900 East Pecan Grove Road.

They'll also be collecting donations at the following locations until March 16th.

Grayson County Treasurer's Office, Second Floor, 100 W. Houston, Sherman, Texas
Denison Fire Department, 700 W.Chestnut, Denison, Texas
Tom Bean City Hall, 201 S. Britton, Tom Bean, Texas
Van Alstyne Fire Department, 280 N. Preston, Van Alstyne, Texas
Whitesboro Fire Department, 206 W. Main, Whitesboro, Texas

All Senior Nutrition Centers/Meals on Wheels of Texoma locations including:

Bells: 203 S. Broadway, Bells, Texas
Denison: 531 W. Chestnut, Denison, Texas
North Texas Regional Airport, 4114 Airport Drive, Denison, Texas
Pottsboro: 104 N. Main, Pottsboro, Texas (inside the Pottsboro Public Library)
Sherman: 1500 N. Broughton, Sherman, Texas
Van Alstyne: 148 S. Main, Van Alstyne, Texas
