LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- Several Honey Grove teens are recovering after a single-vehicle accident in Lamar County Wednesday night.
Family members tell News 12 five teens have been released while one remains hospitalized at this time.
Texas State Trooper Mark Tackett said around 8 p.m. Wednesday, a truck, driven by an unlicensed 16-year-old, was headed southbound on County Road 26900 when the driver took a turn to fast, left the roadway and came to a rest on its side against a tree.
A 14-year-old boy riding in the bed of truck was ejected. He, along with a female passenger, were taken by helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
The other four were taken by ambulance to PRMC.
Only two of the six teens were wearing a seat belt.
