ADA, OK - The City of Ada hosts its 12th annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, October 29. The event is 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parking lot of East Central University's Norris Field.

This is an excellent opportunity to dispose of any household hazardous wastes. Area residents are encouraged to bring all unwanted items including:

- Acids
- Antifreeze
- Asbestos
- Batteries
- Brake fluid
- Bleach
- Chlorine
- Insecticides
- Herbicides/Pesticides
- Fertilizers
- Paint thinners/solvents
- Swimming pool chemicals
- Unwanted fuels (gasoline/kerosene)
- Mercury-containing items
- Used motor oil
- Oil/latex paints
- Tires
- Fluorescent bulbs

Ada Recycling Coalition volunteers will once again collect and mix latex paints on site and then donate the paints for reuse. Also, there will be no charge for tire collection.
