Lake Texoma businesses are enjoying a strong Labor Day Weekend.
Last year Blue Green Algae blooms scared off many lake goers.
The algae scares also hurt local businesses since tourism slumped.
This year the Lake has been given a clean bill of health in time for the holiday weekend.
Jason Cottingame, general manager of Grandpappy Point Marina, said it's been an exciting weekend for local owners.
"You know this time last year is when we were effected for the first time by blue green algae," he said. "We haven't faced that this year, so it's really been good for us. People have just come in great numbers and have spent quite a bit of money this weekend."
Laura Teegarden, Tackle Box Too sales clerk, said they've seen customers non-stop.
"We've been pretty busy," she said. "Most of our stuff we're selling out of today, and it's been really good."
Cottingame said this Labor Day weekend is the best one they've had in a long time.
