SHERMAN, TX -- With the help of a local group, hundreds of students are ready to head back to school.

Lines started forming early this morning at the Great Days of Service Kids' Fair.

Students were able to get their back packs stuffed full of notebooks, pencils, glue and more. They were also able to get their eyes checked, receive discounts for hair cuts and grab some food.

Student Krystina Moore and the rest of her family came out to stock up. They say they are very thankful.

"I think it's helpful to the community because every body's not fortunate to go out and have the ability to buy the school supplies that they need. It really helped," Moore said.

Before school starts Great Days of Service will have helped more than 1,000 Tom Bean, Bells, Sherman and S&S students.
