DURANT, OKLAHOMA -- Texoma veterans hoping to land a job came to Durant today.
The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission and Choctaw Nation veterans hosted the first Veterans Job Fair.
Local companies like Caterpillar, Lowe's and Dollar General took veterans's resumes and applications.
Coordinator Roy Davis says almost a hundred Veterans came to the event and were very grateful for the job-search support.
"I think it's very cool to have something like this for Veterans. The fact that there are people in the community that are like, you know, we want people specifically with this type of work; I think that's very cool," Garrett Nalls with the Air Force Reserve said.
The job fair organizers are hoping to make this an annual event.
