Bowling benefit for Steven Songer

SHERMAN, TX -- Friends and family gathered at the Lone Star Lanes in Sherman to raise money for Steven Songer, Sunday.

The 18-year-old Denison High School senior was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, and recently underwent a double lung transplant. He's currently in Dallas recovering.

The benefit was held to raise funds to help him get through his recovery process.

"This is a benefit to help raise money to help offset costs of Steven and his aunt, Suzanne, living in Dallas. His medical prescriptions and things like that that he needs," said Dan Moody, a family member.
