Madill Public Schools push for $22.9 million school bond

MADILL, OK - Madill voters are being asked by the Madill school officials to approve a $22.9 million dollar school bond Tuesday.

Superintendent Jon Tuck said the money would be used to build a new activity center and a new ag/tech center.

It would also go toward putting six safe shelter rooms in all four school facilities.

The proposed bond needs a 60% majority to pass.

The school proposed a similar bond in February but only 51% of voters were in favor of the measure.

"For every generation someone has helped take care of their facilities and their education," Tuck said. "We are just asking the community to all pitch in and take care of the students, current and future."

Polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. To 7 p.m.
