SHERMAN, TX - Some rain fell this morning, but even more water was falling from the sky this afternoon in one Sherman neighborhood. A major water main broke on Gallagher Street in Sherman around 4 p.m.
Sherman police are on the scene as utility crews work to shut the water off. The break gouged out a large chunk of road, leaving a monster-sized pot hole and sending thousands of gallons of water into a nearby parking lot.
Traffic is down to one lane on Gallagher, so if you are driving in that area you are asked to use caution. Police are also shutting down Loy Lake Road near Gallagher.
