Man behind bars after being accused of animal cruelty

ADA, OK -- A man is behind bars, accused of animal cruelty.

An affidavit states --- witnesses saw Jordan Warner pick up two kittens and throw them into the grass.

When one of them ran back to him, they say he picked it up again and threw it onto street.

Residents were shocked to hear a cruel incident occurred in their peaceful neighborhood.

"It's nothing the animal can do, and a lot of the times it's nothing the animal has done," said resident, Stephanie Payden. "It's not like they've been bad and bit somebody, it's just the people. I think that's the worst part about it is the people."

Warner is being held in the Pontotoc County Justice Center. His bond is set at $5000.

He's set to appear back in court November 6th.
