CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK-- The man accused of shooting and killing a Choctaw County man nearly two years ago is headed to trial.

An affidavit states that in April of 2010, Aaron Jerome Jacobs, along with three other people, devised a plan to lure Robert Strickland into the woods near Messer and rob him. It states, during the attempted robbery, Jacobs assaulted Strickland and fatally shot him and then ditched and set fire to Strickland's vehicle, leaving his body nearby.
