SHERMAN, TX - A McKinney man is in the Grayson County Jail accused of threatening Grayson County District Attorney Joe Brown and other officials.
52-year-old Randy Dale Gibson was arrested at his home Tuesday in McKinney after investigators say he called the DA's office, threatened to bring a gun, and wait in the parking lot for Brown to make a citizen's arrest. When Grayson County deputies arrived at Gibson's home, they found a handgun, two rifles, boxes of ammunition, and several pages of writings related to the case.
Gibson was convicted of criminal trespassing in 2010, a case tried by the Grayson County District Attorney's Office. Authorities say Gibson also made calls threatening a Sherman city judge and other North Texas attorneys. Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators encourage anyone else that has received threatening calls from Gibson to contact them.
He is being held on $750,000 bond.
