Sunday Afternoon and Evening ... Scattered intense thunderstorms are expected, some severe. Large hail, high winds and the potential for isolated tornadoes will be the main threats. Locally heavy is rain also possible with these storms.
SHERMAN, TX -- Increased ridership for TAPS, means a new park and ride facility.
TAPS will begin constructing a new hub in the Midway Mall parking lot in Sherman. The hub will be a 1,500 square foot, climate controlled waiting area. It will have a separate entrance just south of Midway Mall's east entrance and will also be accessed directly through the mall.
TAPS director, Brad Underwood, said because of an increase in riders, their current parking lot isn't able to hold riders' vehicles.
Construction should begin in late November.
