CARTER COUNTY, OK - The Oklahoma State Health Department has confirmed a case of the West Nile Virus in Carter County.
OSHD said the victim is a female between the ages of 25 and 44.
They also said she is a resident of Carter County and did receive hospital treatment.
For confidentiality reasons they could not release any more information.
This is the eighth case of West Nile Virus in Oklahoma this summer, so far none of have been fatal.
Records show there was just one case of West Nile in Oklahoma last summer.
