OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is warning residents to be on the lookout for water-damaged vehicles from the East Coast in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
Pruitt says cars and trucks damaged by water from the storm could be repaired and resold to unsuspecting buyers in other states - including Oklahoma.
Pruitt offers tips that include having any car inspected by a reliable mechanic; question the vehicle's history; search car's title; and inspect it for signs of rust, mildew, mold, water stains and dents.
