PAULS VALLEY, OK - A female soldier just back from deployment is now in Garvin County custody after authorities said she kidnapped her ex-girlfriend and another man.
29-year-old Crystal Marie Rose was arrested around 11 a.m. Tuesday for three counts of kidnapping and one count of first degree burglary.
"Crystal is activated with the Oklahoma National Guard," Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes said. She is a soldier with the 45th."
Authorities said Rose broke into a Lindsay home where her ex-girlfriend lives, held the woman and a man at gunpoint and forced them into her black Jeep Wrangler.
"At least one of the victims was acquainted with Crystal, there was a relationship there where at one point they had lived together in Lindsay," Rhodes said.
When police arrived at the home on W. Kiowa St., Rose had already driven off with the victims.
"That led us to the southern part of Garvin County where we were tracking her where abouts via cell phone," Rhodes said.
Records show Lindsay Police made contact with Rose on her cell phone and she began threatening to harm herself.
"Information obtained from the victims was that Crystal had gotten out of the car east of Tatums and was now on foot and still armed with a hand gun," Rhodes said.
Authorities located Rose in Tatums a short time later where she was arrested without incident and taken to the Garvin County jail.
Rose has a $100,000 bond.
"We did locate the two victims of the abduction near Highway 7 on the Carter/Garvin County line," Rhodes said. "Those two victims were found safe."
Rhodes said the two victims have filed a protective order against Rose.
As of now Rose is still active in the Oklahoma National Guard.
