OKLAHOMA -- In Ardmore, just over 1,200 people said yes to the quarter cent sales tax, achieving 63 percent of the vote. More than 700 said no, comprising 37 percent of the vote.

The A.D.A. sales tax will now be renewed for ten years and 364 days. This means Ardmore's sales tax will stay at 9 percent.

Interim A.D.A. CEO Brian Carter says now that the tax is renewed, it's time to move forward.

In Hugo, the third time is a charm for Hugo Public Schools. The district's school bond passed tonight overwhelmingly with over 78 percent of the vote.

The $1.4 million bond will go toward building a new high school.

Property taxes are expected to increase by 8.9 percent.

In Madill, Madill Public Schools' bond proposition number 1 has passed with 65% of the vote.

This bond will provide $160,000 to Madill schools, which school officials say will be spent on two school buses.

Proposition 2, the second Madill Public Schools bond also passed tonight with 66% of the vote.

This bond issue will provide $2.5 million to Madill schools for safe rooms, air conditioning, new roofs and technology.

Together, both Madill school bond issues will increase taxes by about 4.9 percent.

Colbert ISD's school bond also passes tonight with 67 percent of the vote.

The $905,000 bond will pay for nine new air conditioned school buses and two SUVs.

This bond will piggy back on a prior bond for a new school gym. The tax rate will actually be cut in half now that this bond has passed.

In Bokchito, Johnny Ashby has been voted to the Bokchito Board of Trustees through 2015.

Ashby beat out Kim McGovern with 55.6 percent of the vote. He'll serve for two years.

Mark Green has also been elected to the Bokchito Board of Trustees for a term that will expire in 2017.

Green beat out three other candidates and received the highest vote total at 47.6 percent of ballots.
