OKLAHOMA -- With the temperatures heating up so quickly this year it could cost you big bucks to keep your home cool this summer, but the Oklahoma Department of Human Services is stepping in to help.
Low income residents may be eligible for help paying summer electric bills through the federal Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
DHS will start taking applications July 9. Eligibility is based on the size and the monthly income of the household.
