Oklahoma burn ban to be lifted Tuesday

OKLAHOMA-- A burn ban issued for the state of Oklahoma will expire at 1pm, Tuesday, according to Governor Mary Fallin.

Waiting until Tuesday will give county commissioners time to evaluate conditions within their own areas, the Governor said, and decide whether or not to keep countywide burn bans in place.

In Texas, Fannin and Lamar Counties are still under burn bans.

Forestry service employees urge people to be cautious even after the bans are lifted when burning debris, outdoor cooking and welding.
