WHITESBORO, TX - An old phone scam that preys on the elderly is making its way into Grayson County homes again.

The Grayson County Precinct 3 Constable tells us they have received reports from residents where the scam artist claims to be collecting donations for a law enforcement association, often they will say to help support the "fallen officer" fund. They say the number will come up unknown or blocked on your caller ID, and when pressed for a name or identification the caller will hang up.

No legitimate law enforcement agency or association will ever call your home soliciting for donations. If you receive one of these calls, simply hang up and contact your local police department.
